It's a pleasure to have you with me, Dragon Clan. It's damp here in the heart of Lancaster County Pennsylvania. I will be attending a Scottish festival later to connect with mine Scottish clan, the Murrays and enjoy some Scottish music by my friends Charlie Zahm and Tad Marks. On weekends, since I have no gigs currently, I try to get out and support my musician friends locally who do have gigs. Firstmost, I want to drop mine Dragon Clan an update on my musical side.
Release date for my first album “Blind Dragon Sings” is September 30th. Just over the glades. I'm both excited and anxious. Mostly, I'm trying not to think much on it as it may well drive me to a panic. There's enough on there that will expose more about me than I would ever share otherwise. It needs to get out and so I am determined to let it go. I hope I will feel better once it's out.
I am reaching out to venues to get my own gigs. I'm feeling really good about my ability to put on a solid show. I have to date sent about eight or so emails. I've got about 6 more to send soon. I will be relentless and I know it will pay off. I've dropped off a couple of cards too. I love the new cards I recently had made up. Big improvement over the first batch I did a couple of years ago. These are easier to read and have a QRS code that leads to my website. I've also got a professional email on them. I like the concept of the email just for the music business. It cuts out the load of crap on my personal email and I know all the emails relate to music. I have it on my phone, which is nice but not quite as nice as how my personal email is set up. I will have to try again with tech support to get it improved.
Songwriter's Journal numbers 19 and 20 are now out on my YouTube channel, @robertedenbo3086. The Songwriter's Journal series is a companion project to the Dragon Clan blog. It is a vlog about how my career is going. It starts as a beginer idea and slowly grows, showing my ideas and how I apply them. I also talk about my songwriting and share a rough hued new song at the end of every episode.
There is more and more consistent content going up on my Facebook, RobEdenbomusic, and my Instagram, robedenbosongs pages. I am feeling good about the pace. Several posts a week. It's a growing interest, sparked now by having something to promote.
This is getting good, my Dragon Clan friends,
Love and peace
